CHAPTER 78

Shiana was sleeping on a smaller bed ,a few feet from Dooshima’s bed , she had requested for her own bed Dooshima was happy when Terdue got it for her .

After the kiss they both shared she was electrified, they almost had their first in Terdue’s car , but Dooshima wouldn’t allow the sensual sweetness make her lost her little morality.

Terdue was off that Friday , he had slept over at Dooshima’s place , they had sneaky time while Shiana was sleeping . Dooshima couldn’t risk her daughter doing the act,

she had wanted a sex free relationship, but the kiss from Terdue’s soft lips ,while he thought her how to drive , it ignited a feeling long dead .

Even though he was a church boy , she saw the burning desires in his eyes , how he x-ray her , drooling to the ambience of her enchanting beauty.

Shiana had dozed off on Terdue’s third sleep over , the couple had seen a couple of movies till about eleven P.M , when Terdue placed his arms around Dooshima’s waist and planted another soft kiss on her lips ,

Dooshima melted into him,gently they dropped to the bed and the wooden bed sang acapella songs,while the athletes danced to the Tiv Swange songs the bed was singing .

Dooshima felt so ashamed after the act , it took her down the reflective path of her life , she she reminisced on the one time , her first time ,

she remembered how breathless she was even though under the influence of something stronger than her . She murdered the thought. “He abandoned me , I waited for four years, I owe him nothing ,

I am cheating on no one .” She mumbled as Terdue lay half naked with her under the duvet, the air conditioner was blowing a freezing cold air .

“Uhhhhm what did you say?” Terdue mumbled out of sleep .
“Nothing I’m fine.” she said , he rolled the blue duvet over himself and went back into dream land .

Dooshima felt indebted to Terdue , she couldn’t pay him back , he came into her life and transformed her from poverty into affluence she had grown up with ,

he wouldn’t let the provision finish before he replenished them.He had made her feel what love was again . But still she couldn’t understand the void in her heart , a black hole that no care or love could heal . She cried herself to sleep .

The next morning Shiana jumped on Dooshima’s bed .”,Wake up sleepy head ,you’re still sleeping around eight A.M mummy who is gonna make breakfast for queen Shiana ?” Shiana asked her mother pulling off the blankets that covered her.

“Oh Shiana let me be , I’m having a headache.” Dooshima cried .

“Breakfast is ready !” Terdue cried . Tree tins of condensed milk, a tin of Bournevita beverage , a pack of sugar, three plates of fried egg .”Come on guys come and taste my sumptuous breakfast.”

Terdue said , dropping the tray on Dooshima’s bed . “Now go and brush your teeth Dooshima.” Terdue said as he pulled her down from the bed .

Dooshima was wearing a short pink singlet with white flowers around the neck . Terdue led her to bathroom where more kisses were planted on her kneck as she brushed .

The three ate quietly, Terdue chirped funny remarks every now and then ,not which Dooshima and Shiana laughed .

“Mummy when are you two going to get married?” Shiana asked . Dooshima glared at Shiana , her stare shot bullets .
“Yeah Shiana is right, will you marry me Dooshima ?”Terdue asked the second time .

“Let’s not talk about that now . especially not before this parrot .”Dooshima gasped in frustration. Shiana finished up her egg and abandoned the bread and egg , she ran out of the house .

Terdue went to Mama Amos place to greet her , and his friend, before driving back to his home .

Dooshima was so confused about Terdue , she liked him , she wanted to move ahead and forget about her past,but something was still trapping her from her past ,she went to Mama Amos’s house to greet her , the old woman had not gone to her shop for some days ,she was constantly falling sick almost every other week .

“Mama how are you doing ?”Dooshima asked sitting next to Mama Amos’s bed , the woman was receiving IV drip .

“Dooshima I am fine , you don’t look fine what’s bothering you !”She asked Dooshima holding her soft hand, Dooshima took her face away . “Dooshima you know you can trust me ?” Grandma asked .

“Grandma am fine ,just that…” Dooshima swallowed of her words ?
“Just what talk to me or do you have another mother here aside from me ?” Dooshima shook her head vigorously.

“Mama Terdue has been asking me to marry him .” Grandma nodded as Dooshima spoke . “I don’t know why I am finding it hard to say yes.” Dooshima said . Grandma lay in the bed staring at Dooshima for a long while without saying a word .

“Dooshima you don’t want to free yourself . Terdue is a nice man , he has a good job, he’s been taking care of you and Shiana ,he has been paying your house rent , what’s holding you down ? why are you doing like this .

You should not delay , ladies out there are looking for a man who would take care of them .” she said in a near Whisper.
“Don’t you love him?” She asked.

“I think I do .” Dooshima said .

“You should say yes before you lose him to the type of Prisca and Priscila, they’ll snatch him from you if you , especially as you keep telling them what he does for you.

Are they not your mates ? If they see anyone to marry them , they’ll hurriedly say yes .” She said , Dooshima was quiet.
“Please go let me sleep .” She said to Dooshima, turned her back to her ,as she closed her eyes.
