My Comfort Zone Season 2: Episodes 11-End
Season 2
Episode 20(final episode)

“Yes, come in.” Frank heard his boss say from behind the door so he gently walked into his office.

“Please take your seat, gentleman.” He said as Frank obliged.
He was quick to observe his environment and noticed the unusual tension in the atmosphere. He wasn’t the only one summoned. Richard his co-worker was in the office as well, but he wasn’t seated.

He had his face bowed like he had committed a crime and was about to be exposed for it.
As if his boss read his mind, Mr. Douglas cleared throat.

“Mr. Frank, you must be wondering why I call you here, as it’s so unusual of me.” He began

“Well, I believe Mr. Man here has something important to tell you.” Mr. Douglas said referring to Richard.

“But before I let him say anything, I want to apologize for the inconveniences this company has made you face for quite sometime now. We have been working based on false reports.

It happened that two months ago, this young man hear wrote a petition against you, and being a worker we trust so much, we acted swiftly without proper investigations. It never crossed my mind, or that of the members of management, that it was all a set-up; false accusations due to jealousy or something related.” Mr. Douglas said

As Mr. Douglas spoke, Frank flashed back to how many queries he had received in his place of work for the space of two months.

He didn’t let his wife in on this, as that was also the period she was so worried about their son Ken. Telling her of his office problem would cause more drama at home than it would solve any issue.

When the issue became too serious that he began to sense he’d lose his job if care was not taken, he decided to take the matter to God in fasting and prayer which he had just concluded yesterday.

Mr. Douglas sitting in front of him and apologizing made him remember the Scripture the Spirit of God made him meditate on that morning.

“Frank……” Daniel called, snapping him out of his thoughts.

“I’m sorry for all the charges I laid against you falsely. Honestly I don’t know what came over me. I was just jealous you were begging to get the attention of the managing director a lot, and were receiving lots of awards while I got nothing.

I could bet my worth on it, I was ten times better than you in everything you were being awarded for. I……I’m really sorry for letting my emotions determine my actions for some time now. Please, forgive me.” Mr. Daniel said with his eyes fixed to the ground.

“I told him he had to apologize to you in person and the apology has to be accepted by you, if he doesn’t want to lose his job.” Mr. Douglas said.

“So what do you say, Mr. Frank. Do we forgive him, or let justice take its full course?”

“I do not know what the board of members might decide against him sir, but as much as it depends on me, he’s completely forgiven.” Frank said as he turned to face him, with memories of their friendship flashing through his mind.

“Very well then, it is settled. However seeing what he is capable of doing- the lies he’s capable of putting up against someone who is not guilty, he has to suffer some sort of punishment, to serve as a warning to him to not try such again. Thank you very much Mr. Frank, you may go now.” Mr. Douglas said and Frank stood up to take his leave.

No sooner had he arrived his office did he hear a knock on his door.

“Why wouldn’t this lady just let me be with her gossips?” Frank murmured to himself and sighed, thinking it was his secretary at the door.

“Yes, please come in.” He said when the knock persisted.

“Roseline I’m quite busy, as you can see.” He said without letting his eyes leave the laptop and documents he was battling with.

“Frank.” A male voice called out, causing him to look up and see who it actually was.

“Daniel?” He called out too, noticing his distressed look.

“Please, I’m sorry.”

“I thought we’ve been through this at the boss’ office, and I made it clear before him and you that it’s okay. I have nothing in my heart against you honestly.” Frank said, but Daniel shook his head

“Frank you don’t understand. I went too far, and now I’m paying for my sins.” Daniel said in a shaky voice

“What do you mean?” He asked, when he must’ve offered him a seat.

“I didn’t just write petitions against you, I went diabolical as well.”

“I don’t get. Please make me understand what you’re saying. Diabolical how?” FrNk asked and Daniel sighed.

“When I felt the company was taking time to attend to my petitions, I was disturbed.

I discussed with a childhood friend of mine about it, and he asked me not to worry about a thing; that he knows of a powerful herbalist not far away that could help me deal with the issue as fast as I wanted it.

The next day, we went to him, and when I mentioned your name to the herbalist, he went mute for a while.

He then revealed that he had been hunting you for some time now and didn’t know how to get you, or your wife, so he decided to attack the children.

He said he never knew an opportunity like this would come where he would have the chance to deal with you personally.

Having said and revealed this, he promised to help me to the last drop pf his blood.” Daniel narrated and Frank was shocked for a while.

“But Dan, I don’t understand. This whole thing is surprising. We are friends for goodness’ sake, this whole thing is shocking me.”

“I told you, I don’t know what came over me.” Dan said, and Frank heaved a sigh

“Well, I’m grateful what came over you has left you.”

“The problem now is my daughter….” Daniel said, ignoring his sarcastic response.

“And what about her?”

“She’s terribly ill, and my conscience tells me it’s because of the evil I tried to perpetuate against you.”

“Oh c’mon. It could be just…..” Frank was interrupted by a picture Dan showed him on his phone.

“That’s my daughter.” Daniel said to the confused Frank who was still trying to figure out who he was seeing.

“Jesus! Why does she look like someone suffering from kwashiorkor?”

“I’ve forgotten what the doctor diagnosed the sickness to be, but no matter what the doctors say, I know exactly where this is coming from. I feel God is punishing me for plotting against His own.

I was warned in the dream the night before we went to see the herbalist, that I’d pay in a very hard way if I went ahead with my plans, but I paid no attention. Now it’s happening as I was warned in a dream.” Daniel said

“But why come to me? Why don’t you go back to your herbalist for a cure?”

“He’s dead.”

“Who’s dead?”

“The herbablist.”

“Oh wow…”

“Yeah, so he’s completely out of it.”

“Well, I maintain I have nothing against you.”

“Prove it”

“How?”

“Come pray for my girl, after work today, at St. Matthew’s hospital just down the road.”

My Comfort Zone Season 2: Episodes 11-End

After all said and done, Frank went to visit his daughter at the said hospital as soon as office hours were over. The sight of the little girl alone shocked him, and gave him a littke insight into how God fiercely fights those who would dare worry his children.

After saying a few word of prayer, Frank felt a level of peace and left for home.

The rest of the week was all beautiful.
Ken came back home that Wednesday and narrated everything he hadf faced in school. Frank also narrated his ordeal at his place of work, as Anita the mother and wife of the two just sat down watching them.
While they were busy narrating stories upon stories, Anita’s phone rang. She smiled when she saw who the caller was.

“Our latest mother in town” She hailed

“No whine me abeg. The latest mother in town would be just heading out of the hospital with her newborn in her hands, and I’ve passed that stage.”Belinda said and Vivian laughed

“What God cannot do doesn’t exist.”Vivian said

“You can say that again my dear. I called to check up on you, to see how your family is doing.”

“Omo we’re fine o. It has been series of battle for quite some time, but God has won them all for us.”

“Really?”

“Yes o, for the past two months now it’s been one thing or the other. God punish the devil. He saw what the Lord was using me to do in your life and decided to attack my family, but thank God he didn’t succeed.”

“Hmm…I’m really grateful to God for bringing you into my life at the time I needed it the most. Truly if one has faith, he can have anything he desires. Staring at Wonder each morning reminds me of not just the goodness of God, but the power of faith in God.” Belinda said

They went on and on to discuss how everything was going in their family, the new level they had gained in their relationship with God, and how they planned on passing down their beliefs and values to the younger generation.

“We should host a party one of these days. Like a get-together, you know?” Belinda suggested

“I know right?”

After talking for some more and greeting the rest of the family members one by one, they decided to call it a day
