Episode 4

Belinda woke up bright and early. She had finished her morning devotion of a quiet time with the Lord, and decided to get herself off the bed and head for the kitchen.
Because she loves something being played while being busy in the kitchen, she handpicked a gospel message from Spotify and had it play’

“Hebrews 11:3. Today we’re going to be talking about creating your world with your word.” The preacher began. Belinda listened keenly, even while attempting to get breakfast ready for her family.

“Beloved, in order for you to succeed in this life and be all that the Lord has called you to be, it is important for you to have a say over your own world. If you don’t speak or make declarations over your life, believe me someone somewhere is doing that for you, but to your own detriment.
If God created the World through His words, He expects us His children to create our world through our words. And if we are truly Christians under the control of the Holy Spirit, then our words would sure be in line with the word of God concerning our present situation or condition.” The speaker said

Belinda replayed the audio again and again as she listened to the sermon.

“I’m to create my world through my words.” Belinda soliloquized as she sat on the reading table in the master’s bedroom.

Earlier that day, she had read that particular chapter just after she prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to teach her how to pray for her children, most especially the one in her womb.
Hearing the same chapter being used as a text and emphasizing on the second verse felt like a confirmation for her. At this point of her life, God needed her to create her world and everything she wants to see in it, with her words!

“Holy Spirit, I thank you for your word which has gone forth today. Thank you for answering my prayers and giving me an instruction on what I should do at this season of my life. Please Lord, I ask that you teach me to create my world with the word of God in my mouth.
I honestly do not know how to go about it and I ask that you help me, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
Belinda prayed.

“Babe?” David called from the bed. He had been observing her for quite a while and discovered she was murmuring something.

“Are you okay?” He asked when she turned to look at him

“Yes I’m fine.”

“Are you sure? I saw you whispering something.”

“Yes I…it’s about an instruction I feel God is giving me.”

“Okay…”

“It’s about creating your world with your words. It’s a beautiful instruction, but I don’t know how to go about it.”

“That’s an easy thing to do. What kind of things do you want to see in your world?” David asked. Belinda looked into thin air and began to smile like someone that was daydream

“I want a world where I have my four kids running round my table….”

“Good, that’s the first thing you need to create with the words of your mouth.”

“How?”

“By banking on the Word of God and confessing it on a daily. I mean, search for scriptures with promises of safe delivery and begin confessing them to yourself as often as you can. And as you confess it often, it’d definitely become your reality because even the Bible said that the word becomes flesh.” Her husband said.

Belinda bought her husband’s ideas and went into serious business.
With the help of her husband, she began to search for scriptures where safe delivery was promised.

Any Scripture she found that related to her condition, she had them written down and began to personalize them.

“I know that whatsoever God doeth shall be forever, so this good thing, this child that the Lord has blessed me with shall remain and not be terminated. Nothing evil can be added to it, nor shall it be taken away from me in form of a miscarriage. The Lord will do this for me, and men will fear before him and glorify him.”

“In the name of Jesus I confess that I will be as fruitful as a grape vine, and my home will be rich with healthy children”

“I declare that evil shall not befall the child in my womb, in the name of Jesus.”

She kept going on and on as she wrote every Scripture she could find that she could link up with the promise of safe delivery.
Seven days after steadily creating her world through the confession of her mouth, she had a dream.

In her dream, she was walking around the house when her water broke. Her husband came around as soon as she screamed for help.
As they made their way to their car to drive down to the hospital, she kept praying a particular prayer point.

“Receive the power from God to win the battles you have to fight to come to this world alive, in the name of Jesus.”
As soon as they got to the hospital and a nurse rushed to attend to her, she woke up.

She immediately brought the jotter that was close to her and wrote down the prayer point she had received in her dream.

“Thank you Jesus, for you’re helping me in this battle. Yes! This dream just tells me I am not alone in this. God is helping me with instructions on what to pray!”

A month passed and Belinda’s mouth and heart were full of the Word of God and His promises concerning her child. She was super sure her baby was going to make it through the pregnancy stage and she’d set her eyes on him or her. She was also happy she had passed the ‘danger month’ of the pregnancy when she usually miscarried.
Her danger month was the fifth month, but she was already in her sixth.

She was so full of joy when she realized this, and her mouth was filled with praises.

She was in the living room one day listening to a talk show when she felt a sharp pain by her side.
She tried to ignore it at first but then it became too severe that she had to scream.
David heard his wife scream and immediately rushed to her.

“Babe what is it? What is the problem? Is it due already? Has your water broken?” He kept bombarding her with questions but she was too deep in pains to hear or answer him.
He was trying to help her get up when his eyes caught something flowing out from in-between her legs.

“Blood?”
