CHAPTER 40B

THANA’S CHAMBER***

Thana laid on her bed, she has resent anyone from coming inside, including Benito and Benita.

All the words Dario said to her, kept coming to her head, it’s unforgettable.

“You have to learn how to hate him Thana” She said to herself and smiled, closing her eyes, she saw herself kssing Dario.

She immediately sprang up from her bed as tears roll down her eyes.

“But I can’t forget him!!!” She yelled.

Just then a knock came to her door making her to snap her eyes towards it.

“I want to be alone!!” She yelled.

“Thana open up is me” King Henrik said.

“Father” She muttered and got down from the bed, she opened the door and King Henrik entered inside.

“My baby” He smiled and opened his arms for her.

“Father…..” Thana went into his embrace immediately, her cries increased.

“Oh my baby, stop crying, is a silly rumors… rumors arn’t mearnt to be believed…so don’t worry and stop crying” King Henrik rubbed her hair, he thought she is crying because of the rumors about her sleeping with Dario.

‘I wished the rumors are even true’ Thana thought, she disengaged from the hug and stared up at her father.

“Am not crying because of the rumors, am hurt father, my heart bleeds” Thana said hitting her chest.

King Henrik widened his heart.

“Did anyone hurt you, are you hurt?” He asked looking around her body.

“Is not that one father, but my heart” She touched her chest.

“Is my baby inlove with someone?” King Basmus asked and thana nodded.

“Who is the person?” He asked and Thana shook her head.

“You don’t want to talk about it now?” He asked and Thana nodded.

“He rejected me father, he doesn’t love me” Thana whispered in tears.

“Who dares reject my beautiful daughter? You should hurry and tell father whom the man is…so that I will punish him for breaking your heart” King Henrik said and hugged her.

“Is going be alright, stop crying” He rubbed her back.

When Thana was done crying, she and her father sat on the bed.

“The rumors about you and prince Dario is clearing up now” King Henrik said and Thana nodded, she doesn’t care about the stupid rumors.

“What about prince Dario?” Thana muttered, after all he said to her…she is still asking about him.

“He is still at the king’s court” King Henrik replied.

“Up till now?” Thana immediately looked at her father.

“Yes?”

“What’s is he still doing there?” Thana asked.

“Serving his punishment” King Henrik replied.

“What?” Thana stood up.

“I will be back father” She dashed out of the chamber before her father could say any other.

She ran all the way going to the king’s court, Benita who was coming back from Seeing Pablo saw her.

“Than…” She made to call her but thana ran passed her.

“Where is she going?” Benita ran after her.

“A Princess isn’t mearnt to be running, gosh” Benita cursed as she ran so slowly.

While Thana was running, she bumped into a hard chest, she looked up and met a pair of lustful eyes.

“Princess Thana, what a coincidence…I was heading to your Chamber to see you” Javier said as his eyes hover all over her body.

Thana feeling uncomfortable with his eyes all over her, stepped back.

“Am so sorry prince Javier for bumping into you” Thana bowed.

“Is okay” Javier smiled as he observed her face.

“Have you been crying? Look at those eyes, is it about those rumors? Don’t worry I believe in you, I know you won’t be messing around with my little brother.. don’t worry prince Javier got your back…am here for you” He smiled and placed his hands on her cheek.

Thana feigned a smile and stepped back.

“Thanks to you your highness for your kind words but I have to go now” Thana bowed and ran off.

“Wait….” He wanted to call her back but she has ran off already.

“Where is she going?” Javier asked himself and followed after her.

He watched her enter the king’s court.

“What’s she doing here?” He said and stood behind the opened door watching her.

Thana heart skipped a beat, seeing Dario on his knees with his head lowered.

‘Has he eaten all day?’ She thought and immediately looked up at the king, who smiled seeing her.

“Princess Thana” King Basmus voice echoed.

Dario hearing Her name slightly looked at her side, Thana looked at him.

She gulped down and looked at King Basmus.

“Greetings your majesty” She bowed.

“Greetings Thana, what brought you here?” King Basmus asked.

“I came to tell your majesty…that The rumors about me and Prince Dario is a false News” Thana said.

Javier chuckled where he stood.

“What’s she trying to do?” He muttered to himself.

Dario has lowered his head back, but he was listening to what Thana is saying.

“I know is a false News Princess Thana” King Basmus said.

Thana gulped down, she looked at Dario, then back to king Basmus.

“Why is he still been punished your majesty?” She asked.

“Who?” King Basmus asked.

“Prince Dario” Thana replied.

“Oh him…I have my reason Princess Thana” King Basmus said as he looked at Dario, who still had his head lowered, some strands of his long hair felled on his face…which covered his eyes.

“I plead for your majesty to release Prince Dario” Thana bowed.

Dario hearing this slightly looked at her, with his blank face.

King Basmus stared at her for sometime and started laughing.

“What a brave girl. You are just like your father” King Basmus said.

“Thank you your majesty” Thana bowed again.

“You are welcome, but I decide when to release him” King Basmus said.

Thana took her lips in, she inhaled deeply.

She moved and walked towards Dario, she stood beside him and immediately felled on her knees with her head lowered.

“Then have me punished in his place, your majesty” She said aloud.

Dario widened his eyes in shock and disbelief, he looked at her and Thana looked at him.

“Have me punished in his place your majesty” Thana repeated as a drop of tear felled down her eyes.. which was still locked with Dario’s own.
