CHAPTER 42

“Language Liza, you are a Princess” Queen Lola said.

“Am not getting married to anyone” Liza said and stumped away angrily. Lately her mind has been occupied with her rude, handsome saviour. She can’t wait to see him again, atleast to know his name.

She doesn’t know why but she felt she is attached to him or something.

“Mother please hurry up in telling father about my intention towards PrincessThana, or else I will do it myself” Javier and Queen Lola nodded.

Inna, Thana’s personal maid and friend was heading to Thana’s chamber.

Suddenly someone pulled her behind a wall and pinned her there.

She immediately closed her eyes, with her heart beating against her little chest.

“Open your eyes Inna” She heard that enchanting beautiful voice, she immediately opened her eyes.

“Prince Benito” She called his name.

Benito smiled looking into her eyes.

“How are you?” Benito asked and trailed his fingers on her face,,, which gave her instant butterflies.

“Am fine and you?” She asked so calmly, she is a sweet and calm girl.

“Am so so great, seeing your beautiful face” Benito said.

Inna blushed and bit on her lips.

Slowly their faces started coming closer, their lips came together as they both started kssing.

Inna wrapped her arms around His neck while Benito’s hands wrapped around her tiny waist pulling her closer.

It’s almost midnight, King Basmus has finally released Dario from his punishment, he is now headed to his chamber, their stood Pablo. Immediately Pablo set his eyes on him…he rushed towards him.

“Your highness” Pablo bowed.

“Has the maids set my bath?” Dario asked.

“Yes everything is ready” Pablo replied.

“Okay, you can go back to your quarters and rest” Dario said and turned to step into his chamber.

“Yes your highness” Pablo nodded and started walking away.

“Prince Dario” He heard his name making him to pause and turn.

Seeing whom it was, his expression changed to an unfathomable one.

“I have to something to say” Thana muttered and walked more closer to him and stood.

“Why did you do that?” Dario asked, his voice was calm.

“What?” Thana asked.

“Back there in the throne hall, look Thana the pity you showed unto me thirteen years ago was because I was young.

But now an no longer the fragile Dario, I don’t want to be pitied again by you, it’s annoying and I hate it” Dario said and looked away.

“No problem prince Dario, I actually did that because it was my fault…if I haven’t entered your Chamber last night…all this wouldn’t have happened.

So don’t take what I did inside that throne hall for another thing” Thana said, her face was straight and she had so much confidence.

“Here” She handed over something to him.

“What’s this?” Dario asked.

“The crafted bird you gave me thirteen years ago” Thana replied.

Dario scoffed.

“You still had it? Why are you giving it back to me?” Dario asked and looked at her.

“Because it’s no use to me again, am now staying off your way like you wanted, am giving up on you prince Dario, am returning that in other to throw away every memories of you prince…

Am backing out from you prince Dario, am giving you that space you needed…” Thana trailed off as she immediately sniffed in the tears that was threatening to fell down off her eyes.

She doesn’t want him to see her tears again, he has seen enough of it already.

“I will be returning to our kingdom with my father tomorrow at sunset… actually…” She paused and chuckled for sometime.

“Actually I stayed this long because I wanted to stay with you but it seems you don’t want me, you kept pushing me away…well, congratulations prince Dario you won…am finally staying off your way” She said finally and turned around because tears has felled down her eyes.

“Goodbye prince Dario” She said and ran off immediately.

“Than…” Dario wanted to call her back but stopped halfway…he looked down at the crafted bird before entering his chamber.
