Episode 25
Belinda was walking on a cleared path. She wore a clean cloth but had a sad look.
“My family isn’t complete, and it disturbs me greatly.” She said to herself as she admired the garden she was walking through.
In no time, she came in contact with a gardener who was busy with his garden.
“Hey ma’am. What is wrong with you?” The gardener asked her on noticing her mood.
“My family isn’t complete, and it disturbs me greatly.” She said. The gardener gave a smile.
“Don’t worry ma’am, your husband will return home soon.”
“That’s what everyone keeps telling me. My daughter too said someone assured her in her dream that he’d come home, but he’s taking too long already.”
The gardener smiled.
“It’s taking long because He…” He said, pointed towards heaven
“….is passing him through a process that’d make him a better Child of God and Husband. The enemy planned this for his bad, but God is using this opportunity to turn things around for his good, and for your good too.” The gardener said.
It was at this point Belinda woke up. She reflected on her dream as it was very fresh on her memory and smiled satisfactorily
“He’s coming home a better Christian, and husband.”

It was day 3 of Festus and David’s praise and worship session. The Lord moved so much that even the other prisoners in the room joined in worshipping God.
“Tonight’s own was so refreshing! I didn’t even know that time had gone.” David said when he checked his watch for time.
“4am. That’s four hours of non-stop praise. Awesome!” David said further. Festus smiled in response.
Suddenly they heard the door of the room open quietly.
“Jesus! Who’s there?” David whispered but Festus remained silent.
As at this time most of the prisoners in the same room with Festus and David were wide awake, so you could virtually hear them panicking and offering prayers.
“Hey!” David heard someone say beside him. He made an attempt to shift away from the whisper he heard.
“Shhhh….don’t make much noise. Don’t be afraid, I’m here to help you.” He said and lit a candle he was holding.
“My name’s Paul, a fellow prisoner like you. Don’t worry; we’d all get out of here in no time….in one piece.” Paul said but David wasn’t buying it.
“Okay so you want to help get us out of here because? And how come a fellow prisoner is walking around freely. I don’t get it.”
“There’s no time to explain. But believe me, I’m for real. Get ready; we’d leave here tomorrow’s night.

“Baby wake up. It’s time for morning prayers.” Belinda whispered as she woke her daughter Gift up.
“Father we thank you for today. We thank you because you’re bringing our daddy back safe and sound; not only safe and sound, but he’s coming home a better Christian, and a better husband.” Belinda prayed in the opening prayers.
At some point, Gift was tempted to open her eyes in surprise. What’s all this talk about daddy coming back a better Christian?
Why her sudden faith? Or has the man that assured her in her dream that he’d come home soon assured her too?
All these thoughts and more ran through her mind as they prayed.
“Let’s open to the book of Habbakuk.” Belinda said, flipping through the pages of her Bible. Gift did same.
“Chapter 2 verse 2.” Belinda said and Gift read
“…Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
“What the Word of God is trying to tell us here is that when He has promised that something is going to happen, it will surely happen; your own side of the bargain is to wait for it.
Like now, God has assured us both that daddy will come back home in one piece, our own side of the bargain is to prayerfully wait for the manifestation of that promise.” Belinda said as Gift gave a big smile. Her assumptions were correct!
“We have the assurance that daddy is coming back!” Gift said as she embraced her mom in a tight hug. Belinda smiled at her little girl’s action
“Yes dear, he’s coming home a better Christian.”

David and Festus were taking a big nap late that evening when a loud bang on the door cruelly woke them up.
“That one, take him away.” A fierce-looking man said, pointing to one of the prisoners by the left.
“No no no no no please. I have a family to cater for please.” The man who had been picked for execution pleaded.
All his pleas fell on deaf ears as he was dragged away to another room.
“God please, deliver us from the hands of these wicked souls fast.” David prayed silently.
That night David couldn’t sleep. He was wide awake silently praying to God for a means of escape before they get killed like the one they saw that evening.

Toyo was in his usual spot enjoying himself when his personal assistant walked in unannounced.
“K I’ve warned you not to come in here unannounced.” Toyo said calmly the moment he felt his presence
“I’m sorry boss, but someone is requesting to see you.”
“Who?”
“Na Mr. Daniel, boss.” K said and Toyo gave a smirk.
“Let him in.”
“Okay boss.” K said and left.
Toyo quickly brought out a small recording device from his pocket and turned it on.
He placed it back in his breast pocket just before Daniel walked in.
“Is he dead now?” Daniel asked as soon as he walked in.
Toyo raised a brow at him.
“No greetings first?”
“I don’t have time to waste my breath on greetings. The man David, is he dead now?”
“No, but will be executed soon.”
“How soon is soon?”
“Like in two days time.”
“Why not now?”
“Why now?”
“Toyo please don’t answer my question with another question. Why not now?”
“We had one executed today. He has been scheduled for execution in two days.”
“Two days is too long Toyo. This isn’t the agreement we had for Christ’s sake.”
“What agreement did we have?”
“That he’d be executed two days ago, and I’d come here to pick his dead body and cook up a story of some evil befalling him.”
“Hmmm…”
“Yes!”
“Why though?”
“Why what?”
“Do you want him dead? Isn’t he your colleague in your place of work?”
“That is none of your business.”
“Well I guess carrying out my own part of the deal is none of your business too.”
“Now Toyo listen to me, don’t you dare play games with me, you hear me?”
“And who’s playing games with you here?”
“You think you’re smart Toyo right? You really think you’re smart.” Daniel said and walked out. Toyo smiled mischievously.
“I’d get you soon. Very soon.”

Daniel got back into his car. Frustrated, he hit his steering angrily.
“I feel that bitch wants to double-cross me. I’d have to get rid of him as well, once he’s done assisting me get rid of David”
