EPISODE 21
Belinda and her daughter didn’t sleep throughout the night. They spent it interceding and praying for the safety of their husband and father.
The more they prayed, the more frightened Belinda became but Gift was encouraging her.
“Mummy don’t cry, Jesus will bring him back for us.”She said whenever she heard her mom’s voice breaking down.
Soon it was daybreak. Belinda and Gift had slept off on the floor of the living room. They were too exhausted to go to their separate rooms when they ended their prayers.
Belinda was sleeping soundly until her phone rang aloud, waking her up.
She checked the caller I.D and it was David’s boss.
“Hello Sir.” She said with a rather exhausted voice.
“Hello Mrs. Daberechi good morning.”
“Good morning Sir.”
“Is he back now?” He asked. Belinda looked at the wall clock to check the time. 6:30am.
“No Sir, he isn’t back yet.”
“Then we have to involve the police.”

David forced his eyes open when he heard someone screaming in a deafening manner.
“No please! Please don’t harm me please!!! I’m the only son of my mother. She has no other one to take care of her. Please take me back to where you picked me.”
A boy of about 11 years old pleaded as they dragged him into the dark room where David was.
When his scream was becoming unbearable, one of the masked men dragging him hit his head with a pistol. The boy passed out instantly.
“Put am for that cage.” One of them said, pointing to where David was. Two men dragged the unconscious boy to David’s cage and locked him up.
“O Lord please get me out of here. I’m tired of this placed already.” David prayed in low tones, ignoring the boy with him.

“Please take me back. I need to see my mother. She’s very sick and expecting me. I have her drugs with me please. Please please please please please.”
David heard the boy say in low tones as tears fell from his eyes. He couldn’t tell if he was dreaming or not because his eyes were tightly shut.
“Am I still here?” The boy asked when David tapped him.
“Yes.” David replied and the boy wept bitterly.
“Why has life been so unfair to me and my mother? I’m tired of living! Why did God even make me in the first place?” He asked in-between sobs.
David who felt pity for him drew him closer to his bossom.
“Don’t worry boy, you’ll be fine. We’ll get out of here in no time.” He comforted.

Belinda was sitting in the living room, staring helplessly at the wall-clock
“Babe where are you?” She whispered as tears trickled down her cheeks.
They had gone to make a report at the police station but from that time till then, there has been no new development about the issue.
“It’s been two days now. God, where is he? Where is my David?” She kept staring at the clock which read 5pm
