The Black SUV drove into the compound of Government General Hospital Gboko, the doctors were already waiting, calls were made ahead. Doctor Akase was on ground. The pastor was placed on a stretcher, and was being rolled into the ICU. Four doctors surrounded him, his limped hands dangled by the side, as they rolled the stretcher away.
“This looks like a cardiac arrest. I pray he makes it.” One of the doctors said. They began to peel off his Sox and shoes, and placed an oxygen mask on his face .
“What’s wrong with my husband?” Seember asked pacing about. “Will he be okay?” She asked the doctor.
“Calm down madam, we’re accessing his situation, we would soon come out with our findings soon.” He said , before running into the emergency room to meet the other doctors.

“The pastor had a cardiac arrest. We need to refer him to Makurdi, we cannot handle this here. ” A senior doctor said to his colleagues.
“Yes we, Federal Medical Center Makurdi should have facility to handle this, he has developed ……………..
….. stroke.” The doctors said amongst themselves.
The head physician called Seember after about four hours. “Madam the pastor should be moved to Makurdi, where they have facility to handle his situation. We’re preparing a referral and an ambulance to convey the pastor to FMC . ” Doctor Akase had gone out to get fuel for the car. The driver told him the ambulance tank was dry.
Again the pastor was placed on a stretcher and was being moved out of the hospital, when Dooshima and Ogwuche ran into the hospital. Dooshima broke into tears, hot tears rolled from her eyes. her lips began go tremble. She embraced her dad’s lean chest, he was looking so fragile. Her lips began to tremble.
“Oh Daddy please don’t die. Daddy I am sorry, please come back to me daddy. ” She wept as the nurse who was to accompany her dad to Makurdi begged her to step away. “Mummy am sorry. please daddy don’t die, I won’t be able to forgive myself.”

She wept as Ogwuche gently led her away from her dad. Whose face was covered by an oxygen mask, a mobile machine to read his heartbeat was with the nurse. Seember embraced her daughter, Dooshima insisted she wanted to go with her parents, but the doctors wouldn’t let her.
She promised to follow them to Makurdi, the professor remained in coma five hours after he had collapsed, the hospital premises was covered by leaders from the church.
Dooshima could see the anger and judgement in their eyes towards her. though nobody utter a word to her, but she could see the hate they had for her.
The convoy drove behind the ambulance, they arrived at Makurdi at about six P. M in the evening. The pastor was admitted and treatment continued from where the General Hospital Gboko had stopped. Seember sat next to her husband the whole night, early the next morning the pastor opened his eyes. He couldn’t speak or move a limb.
“Madam your husband has just had a fatal stroke, he’s paralyzed both hand and feet, he cannot speak, but with prayers and treatment he may be able to walk again. ” A doctor said to Seember, she couldn’t help but cry. She went back to see her husband, his eyes were opened staring blankly at the ceiling.
Annabel came with Martin to see her father, she wept at the sorry state Dooshima had thrown her father into.
Some men arrived from the state House arrived at the hospital on Monday morning to see Mrs Seember, Her husband had been moved to the ICU and placed on life support machines.
”Good morning Mrs Seember,I am a staff of the stare government. Part of the legal team, I was a junior lawyer under your husband, PROF,SAN Gamadi , he served the state well.
The governor has made an arrangement to move the professor to a better facility in the UK through the presidential diplomatic pass. He said passing some papers to Mrs Seember. “that’s the flight ticket, a jet is waiting for you and your husband at the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport Abuja, a doctor and a nurse would be accompanying you to London.
The full expense of the hospital bills and your welfare would be shouldered by the government of Benue state.” Seember was speechless, she didn’t realize it, until the tears dropped to the floor.
“Thank you so much, I am just speechless thank. ” she said the man who was dressed in a black suit abd white shirt bowed his head slightly, before he walked away. The church could afford to take the pastor anywhere in the world for treatment, but it would have taken a while to get the papers out.
Seember sent Hemem to the house to gather the her papers and those of her husband. By six P. M that evening another ambulance with an entourage of brethren from Makurdi escorted the ambulance to Abuja.
They arrived at Abuja airport at about One A. M. The pastor who was awake but disorientated was loaded unto the jet and with a nurse and a doctor they were on their way to the UK.
