“May thunder strike you dead! ” He yelled as he charged at his cousin and plucked the hoe from his hands. “How dare you enter my farm?” He barked, trembling with anger.
“Ogar the thing you’re looking for in Ohimini u swear to God you’ll surely get it! How did this place be your own? this is a family land, and see where your portion stopped by the locust bean tree there. The elders gave this portion to I and my brothers to farm, Ogar how did you jump to this place? ” He asked.
“Ogbole I am warning you don’t plant anything here! stop tiling this ground!” Ogar warned his cousin.
“What will you do Ogar! you think I am Okpe? I swear on my mother’s grave! If you do any rubbish here I’ll cut off your head and go to prison! ” Ogbole threatened, Ogar had a smirk on his face and shook his head with a mischievous smile.

“I swear! I’ll not hesitate to cut off your head! get out of my farm Ogar! ” Ogbole yelled and began pushing Ogar’s chest. Ejembi went into the truck and pulled out his father’s sharp cutlass.
“Are you mad! are you mad! Ogbole you’re pushing my own father? ” He screamed rushing at Ogbole with drawn cutlass, Ogbole’s sons also rushed to grab their cutlass were they had buried it in the ground.
“What will you do! This rat! you think you’re a man now right? ” he yelled at Ejembi who was still charging towards him with a sharp cutlass, Ogar rushed at his legs, using the distraction , he lifted Ogbole off the ground and slammed him on the soft and wet ground the two men began to exchange punches. Taking turns to roll each other on the ground.

Ogbole was bleeding from the shoulder. Ejembi got out of their hold and grabbed the machete that was lying on the ground.
He cut one of Ogbole’s sons on his lap, the other brother picked the second cutlass and gashed Ogar’s on the rib, he got up and began to run, as blood sipped out of his body, the blood tasty young man left pursuing after Ogar and turned to help his brother who was being attacked by Ejembi with a cutlass.
Ejembi felt a sharp pain on his back, he screamed as the sharp edge of the cutlass sank into his body the second time, he let go of his cutlass and took to his heels. The young man chased after him, he wanted to continue until he saw Ejembi on the ground.
“Owoicho come back! don’t kill him! Owoicho! I said turn back! ” He forgot about his wounded shoulder and chased after his son. “Don’t kill him! ”
Ejembi was galloping over the ridges and falling , and struggling to stay on his feet . Ogbole had to meet up with his son to forcibly collect the cutlass from his. Owoicho began to cry in anger, that his father didn’t allow him to finish off the vermin.
Ogar abandoned his son and his truck and ran for his life, he never expected the confrontation to spiral into a full clash.
He ran to the local road and begged a man with machine to help get him to the hospital. His lap was bandaged, He was given a bed and his wife was called to offer blood for transfusion.
Some good Samaritans saw Ejembi wobblying in the pool of his blood before he collapsed on the ground. They put him in a pick up van and drove with him to Trinity Hospital, he was still bleeding and unconscious.
On the third day of her flow, Dooshima had fallen sick, it started with bone chilling cold, she covered herself with the whole blankets and duvets in her room , the cold still penetrated through.
Then joint pains and general body pains joined, before a head wrecking headache. She was shivering like a compressing vibrating machine used to stump on newly constructed roads.
“Dooshima what’s wrong with you? ” Seember asked.
“I-I am fine mu-mmy. ” She stammered through clinched and vibrating teeth.

Ogwuche and Mimidoo had visited her at different times. Mrs Seember had met him in the Dooshima’s hospital room, she tried her best not to be harsh the young ma, she excused herself from the room to give them privacy. Dooshima was discharged after three days.
It was two days to her traveling to Abuja, though she wasn’t feeling fine, she didn’t want to give her parents an excuse to keep her back in Gboko, she acted as though she was a rock.
She suddenly began to hate the smell of fish, she refused to eat any food that had fish in it, the small made her want to puke, she refused to touch anything that had fish in it. Mrs Seember saw how fair Dooshima became she had to ask her if she had started using toning creams.
The question was funny to Dooshima, because whenever she stood in front of her mirror she couldn’t see any change in her body.
“I don’t understand what’s happening to me Mimidoo, my body is behaving like a stranger, I don’t know how I feel. ” Dooshima complained to Mimidoo when they spoke on the phone.
“Sorry dear you should go back to the hospital maybe the typhoid and malaria is still in your blood system.” She suggested.
“Well I’ll do that when I settle in at Abuja, I just want to leave Gboko.” Dooshima said before dropping her phone, she remained in bed all day. Her mother had to force her to eat.
